Flight Day

Crymlyn Bog NNR is a fantastic place to explore flight. We not only have the amazing array of reedbed birds to listen to and spot but also the pond containing the nymphs of dragonflies, beetles and midges.
This wholly interactive day involves the children learning how to fly like birds, insects and bats to enable them to discover the differences between them and the difficulties in keeping off the ground.
The students will also discover how plants fly through investigating the plants of the bog and their structure. Seed dispersal as well as pollination is covered along with pond dipping for animals and sweep netting for flying insects.
A very exciting and action packed day.
The number of days subsidised by Swansea Environment Centre is limited and on a first come basis.
