Sand dune zonation and the process of succession

Course description

Learn about the formation of the sand dunes, the history of the site and its geology. Look at the adaptations of the plants. Use techniques such as, quadrats, dune topographical survey, soil and analysis, to investigate zonation and the changing conditions along a sand dune succession. Also look at the management of the site and its effect on the succession and creation of a plagioclimax.
