School Activities (GCSE)

We provide several different types of educational field trip for key stages 1, 2 and 3, GCSE and A level. Each day has been designed to fit into the school day running from 9.45 or 10.00 to 2.15 or 2.45 and all equipment and id guides for the day will be provided by Nature Days.

Field days can also be developed based on your school’s natural environment found in it's grounds if funding for transport is a problem. To find out about funding contact us now.

Trip: River Study	Cost: A Full day is £150 per class of 30 children
A beautiful and challenging four and a half mile walk, providing a perfect opportunity to use “geographical enquiry skills”, as an in-depth class investigation which can easily be built around the day.

Trip: Adaptations of freshwater invertebrates	Cost: A Full day is £150 per class of 30 children
River dipping in the Ilston to catch and identify river invertebrates. Keys can be used to identify the animals and then their adaptations can be discussed using role play and games.

Trip: Sand dune zonation and the process of succession	Cost: A Full day is £150 per class of 30 children
Formation of the dunes, background history of the site, adaptations of the plants, quadrats, dune topographical survey, collecting soil samples, microclimate.
